The New Advancements in FIR Heat Therapy

Fairly recently, my son was suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome. I blame it on too much console games, as he tends to spend hours upon hours holed up in his room playing his xbox 360 and Nintendo wii. Pardon me if that sound techno-prudish but some new technologies actually do more harm than good. Thankfully, there are other forms of technology coming out that help parents like me in coping with situations such as this.

When we first came to the doctor to get my son’s hand checked out, the doctor simply inspected his hand and gave us a sort of cream, telling us that it should work fairly quickly. However, as days passed by and the cream was barely working on my boy’s hand, I quickly got worried that we might need to get surgery or some kind of expensive medical procedure.

In my panic, I googled stuff that might work and I ended up on a sort of far infrared and heated clothing website (ventureheat.com). There I saw a heat wrap especially made for the wrist. Hesitant as I was to spend more money on another “iffy” cure, the moans of my hurting child were enough to convince me to act quickly. So, I bought one and surprisingly, it worked.

After a few hours or so, my son’s hand was getting back to fighting form and he looked adamant on getting back to his xbox. Going back to the doctor’s office, the doc was pleasantly surprised at how advanced heat therapy has gone and that he would look into it too.

You see, the hand wrap my son used was no ordinary wrap. It was using Far Infrared (FIR) Therapy. FIR heat therapy is nothing new and was actually harnessed from ancient techniques that have been proven effective over hundreds of years. FIR heat therapy, as I read, using Far Infrared rays which penetrate beneath the muscle tissues which then improve blood circulation, which basically means that while you’re being treated to a soothing heat therapy, the FIR also helps in accelerating the healing process.

Now, I cannot offer any medical proof as I am not a doctor. But seeing as how FIR helped my son to recover from his carpal tunnel syndrome and even in other form of body pains, I guess seeing it and experiencing the comforting heat for yourself will be the best way to prove just how effective FIR heat therapy can be.
